Trees Study, Koko's Return and Comparing More vs Less

Brandon shared his weekend adventures with Koko...




everyone got a chance to welcome Koko back







there were lots of interesting questions being asked today



we started our unit on trees today



we examined some tree stumps





we used our bodies as trees


these are some of the things we discussed...


the stumps were examined at center time




in art, we worked on making our own tree to place on the whiteboard



when we peeled the cardboard...it started to look just like tree bark


during centers we discussed more vs less.  we built towers using blocks and we identified which had more blocks and which had less blocks...

not that food...fish food


we revisited the sequence of planting

Beans Sprouting, Centers in Room #103 & Andrew's Birthday

This morning we noticed that our beans were beginning to sprout from our zip lock bags we received some brand new cabinets in our classroom we took a trip to Ms Fechtman's room and our morning centers there Ms Fechtmann came to our classroom and her students used our room for morning centers this was very exciting for each class as the children were able to see and use materials from different rooms Mr. Yack was able to get many ideas for centers... In the afternoon we read our mini books Andrew and his mother gave the class a presentation on their adventures last summer we learned all about snakes, and elephants and rhino serous  we had a little birthday feast Playground time !
