Ms Maria, A Tour of the School & Signs of Fall

Our day started with a visit from the school secretary, Ms. Maria



Anthony brought in his own book



One of Maria's "tools" her sticky notes



She answered many questions about her role and repsonsibilities


We went on a tour of our neighborhood...(we walked around the building)




we discovered an collected many signs of fall






we talked about how the water was "transferred" from he lawn to our shoes to the sidewalk




we discussed shadows and how the sun creates them


we discussed where our garbage goes when it leaves the school



we discovered where our milk is delivered



we walked up a ramp


we rode our bikes and scooters


we went to visit Ms Maria in her office




we discovered our letters



cut some paper



analyzed some fossils


weighed and measured


played music


explored technology





made crafts



listened to a read aloud



read our own mini books


studied more science stuff


continued to work on Cameron's fire truck





helped our friend complete the truck





examined our signs of fall


the bulletin board is coming together...

Beans Sprouting, Centers in Room #103 & Andrew's Birthday

This morning we noticed that our beans were beginning to sprout from our zip lock bags we received some brand new cabinets in our classroom we took a trip to Ms Fechtman's room and our morning centers there Ms Fechtmann came to our classroom and her students used our room for morning centers this was very exciting for each class as the children were able to see and use materials from different rooms Mr. Yack was able to get many ideas for centers... In the afternoon we read our mini books Andrew and his mother gave the class a presentation on their adventures last summer we learned all about snakes, and elephants and rhino serous  we had a little birthday feast Playground time !
